The Makita EA3601F35B is a powerful chainsaw suitable semi professionals use such as farming and landscaping with a 35.2cc 2-stroke petrol engine that delivers 2.4hp and features stratified air scavenging to comply with strict exhaust emissions. The Makita easy-start system provides automatic inertia drive assistance created by a cam wound spring inside the cord reel that engages when the cord is tensed against the compression stroke of the engine. The lightest pull load on the cord when the engine flywheel is at standstill will activate the spring assistance and speed the crank through the compression stroke and ignition sequence into the combustion cycle. Other features include low vibration making it ideal for prolonged use, low service and maintenance schedule plus inertia and chain brake.

The chain and bar have tool-less fitting/removal plus tool-less chain tensioning and it is recommended that the chain tension is relaxed during periods of storage to prevent chain stretching.
