The Makita DUX60 is the main drive unit for a family of garden attachments including line trimmer, hedge trimmer, pole saw, cultivator and edging tool and is powered by 2 x 18v Li-ion batteries connected to the 36v brushless motor.

The unit has a 3 speed electronic gearbox high/medium/low, reverse gear which is particularly useful with the line trimmer heads for untangling the head plus a soft start to protect the user on start up. AFT (active feedback technology) shuts down the motor in the event of a jam and overload protection prevents overload, overheating and over discharge of the batteries.

The brushless motor is more efficient compared to a brushed counterpart and provides more run time per charge of around 30%. This versatile machine is compact and easily stored, attachments are fitted with a tool-less slide joint with a positive clip-lock fixing and the loop handle is easily adjusted to suit all sizes.
