The Makita DC18SD battery charger is suitable for all 14.4v and 18v slide fit Li-ion batteries.

With a built in memory chip the battery communicates with the charger to maximise the charging cycle and fan cooled air is blown across the air vents to reduce heat build up and protect the lithium within the battery.

The DC18SD emits audible sounds to communicate the status of the charge cycle and also when the battery has reached full charge.
