The random orbit action works in 2 ways, firstly the pad orbits like a traditional sander and secondly the pad spins on it's own axis which allows for rapid stock removal and a finer finish. Variable speed by dial allows complete control of the sander and rubber grips add to comfortable use and reduced vibration.
