This Makita 2012NB bench top thicknesser has a maximum planning width of 304mm that is 12". At its maximum it will plane to a depth of 1.5mm but it will also plane to a depth of 3mm on timbers less than 150mm 6" wide. With its fast feed rate of 8.5 metres per minute the quality of finish is exceptional, the height adjustment is set by the large handle positioned on the top of the machine and with the bed being raised by 4 posts, unlike on imported machines that only use 2, the travel is smooth and the depth can be set precisely.
