The Makita 196696PGJ-2 power source kit comprises of 2 x BL1860B batteries, DC18RD twin charger all neatly housed in a Makpac 3 case with inlay.

Makita BL1860B LXT Lithium-Ion batteries feature efficient battery management using "Star Protection" chips that communicate with between the batteries and tools and exchange real-time data to monitor conditions and protect against overload, over-discharge and overheating. The DC18RD twin charger and communicates with the battery's built-in chip during the charging process to optimise battery life by actively controlling current, voltage and temperature. The built-in fan circulates air through the battery during the charging process to cool the battery for faster charge time meaning 2 x BL1860B battery can be charged consecutively in just 48 minutes.
