The Makita 191J85-8 power source kit includes a DC40RA fast charger, MakPac 1 carry case with inlay and a choice of 40v Max XGT batteries.

Makita developed the 40v Max XGT range for high demand tools used in continuous operations. The casing has a new design that protects the battery from dust and moisture, plus shock-absorbing padding protects it from drop impact damage.

Two-way digital communication between the battery, tool and charger protects the battery from over-discharge or overheating and the intelligent onboard monitoring records detailed information on the battery history. Other features include a 4 LED battery fuel gauge and cooling system for optimum charge time.
